Started hitting issues with the motor not functioning after about 10 uses, but after the Amazon return window closed. Wheel would not spin freely. Thought it was a magnet loose. Took apart to inspect. Looks more like a design defect. The outer hub becomes misaligned over time and the magnets interfere with each other.

I used this hub motor on a home-made e-railrider. Wire colors all matched up with the throttle, brake and controller. It accelerated smoothly first time under load with no hesitation. For a gearless hub, it has adequate torque and more than enough speed for my application. Build quality is high. The only ding would be old fashioned bullet connectors and Hall Sensor connectors instead of 9 pin waterproof plug which is easy enough to fix.

Needed a new motor for my m4 pro immediately noticed it's a different size, then noticed the wire comes from the opposite end of the original part, went through the trouble of installing it and it's scraping the brake and it only reaches up to 20mph rather than 30 cannot reccomend for the m4 pro
