This is so much more effective than using the woodblock sandpaper holders I’ve made that I’m buying more. I’m shocked at the difference actually.

This is a good tool for woodworking. The design of the handle/grip is a lot like a block plane. This is a very comfortable tool to use for long periods. It is for that reason that I might never sand with a block of wood again. The material it is made of is hard and sturdy. There is another version of this tool that is softer and mimics the softness of a cork sanding block.One word of caution... don't leave a strip of the 3M Stik-it Gold on for a prolonged period (1 week +). The PSA backing will leave a residue on the block. I know the PSA material is supposed to be like 3M Post It notes and the bottom of the block looks like it has been treated but I had a heck of time getting the block clean after leaving some P220 paper on for the better part of two weeks.

Love these blocks. They are made of hard fiberglass so they don't curl like the foam ones.
