Self watering spikes are a great solution; it works through osmosis and automatically release water based on soil wetness; the terracotta peak lets the water seep through slowly as needed. I have these watering gnomes in some of my houseplants. The water drips slowly so I don't end up overwatering. They are cute in their own way.

I really like these. I would have given them a 5 star but there was not a finish on them. I went and sprayed them with a clear gloss and they look unbelievable great. Once the clear gloss is on them they look so different and you can really see them in your plants.

i have this one small plant - it's not a water hog at all - it can go quite awhile without adding actually. i didnt realize that at first and was consistently overwatering it. i switched to using this smaller, less water holding waterer and now the plant appears to be much happier. like thriving happier. these smaller ones are not for all plants, if it's larger or a water hog you will be refreshing it daily which is basically the same watering every day, just cuter. i like these for a smaller option because they are tall vs wide, so they fit nicely into plants vs creating a crowded situation that pushes the plant around. i am happy with these for some very specific plants - definitely not all of them and not outside as they just don't hold a ton of water. but for the smaller, less water hungry plants - these are great. i can typically go a week before adding water and that's great when i am traveling.

I needed to buy something to help keep my plants outside watered while I was away. I didn’t want to ask my daughter for she works full time leaves early and gets home late. So I look for a product that would keep my plants watered while I was away and found these cute gnomes I liked that they slowly kept my plants watered!! And they looked cute while doing it!! Great find, great product!!!

This Self Watering Spikes is only good for holiday decoration. The water in the spikes were only stay in for a day. I have to keep adding water to it and is not easy to add water when it is in the pot. I will use it just for the holidays.
