This toy was bought for a six year old boys birthday. He absolutely loved it and fun to play with in a large open area.

I got a few of these sets for my boys for Christmas. They both have had other gliders, but my younger four year old has problems sometimes throwing those and keeping them up in the air. The launcher with these helps him send the plane in level flight, so it's less frustrating for him than throwing the plane. The lights and the wheels are a nice touch too. I'm not sure how long they'll last, but at the price point I think these are pretty awesome and would just buy another set if they do breakdown over time.

This airplane launcher really sends the airplanes soaring. We tested it out in the house first and completely underestimated the launching power that this little thing has. After it shot straight through our living room, we decided that it definitely needs to be an outside only toy.The planes are super lightweight and made of styrofoam. That being said, they are not very durable when it comes to handling them or bending the wings. My son was a little rough with the blue plane and broke a part of the wing off which I tried to superglue back but the styrofoam can't be superglued.We were very impressed by this product and have enjoyed it consistently for over a month. At this price point, I would say that this is a great product!

I understand what the maker was attempting to do with this toy; however, if you want something that is going to fly more than about 10 feet, then I would go a different direction. We tried every combination of front wing and rear wing direction and couldn't get the plane to do more than a few feet. Most of the time it did a loop (which is kind of cool I guess), but would never really fly straight. It's Styrofoam, so I kind of had my guesses. The lights on the plane are okay. The wording on the wings and directions was not translated very clearly. But hey, for a kids toy, it wasn't terrible to play with.

Now as these are a Christmas gift for our boys, we haven't tested them out. That said, I've seen these over the years and going by the look of them and a few reviews here I feel confident the kids will have fun with these. That said, the very nature of the toy and the materials it's made with I'm not sure about how long they'll last. At this price though? if the kids get a couple of weeks of fun out of it it's worth it.
