This skate sharpener does not fit all skates. When you return it you have to pay for the return yourself and the cost is almost as high as the item itself

With no nearby access to anyone that can professionally sharpen skates, this does the trick to last me through the month where we have a seasonal rink for christmas. After which i sent my skates away for professional sharpening. It does not replace a professional sharpen but it definitely gives you that edge back for a good skate.

Is very handy and helpful when you have a skate edge go bad in the middle of game. I also don’t sharpen my skates as often with this.

This is a great and easy tool to sharpen skates during practice or games. We’ve used them to keep sharp between sharpening appointments, and it’s for sure been helpful on the life of the blades

So happy with this! It arrived earlier than predicted and it works very well! Only one or two "swipes" and my skates already felt a lot sharper! Cheap and totally worth it! Don't need to go sharpen my skates every month now!

I was a little skeptical on buying a sharpener because I'd read mixed reviews that they don't work all that well. Well, I'm here to deliver the verdict. If you've ever had a prior judgment of handheld skate sharpeners, or any kind of skepticism regarding them, I can assure you this product in particular will make you do each of the following in this order.1) Roll all that skepticism into a ball2) Buy golf tees3) Take out your driver4) Tee it all up5) Make sure your feet are square to your target6) Blast that bad boy into oblivionProduct is legit. Buy it. Use it PROPERLY (slow with a lot of attention to making sure that the sharpening stone is flat on the outside of the blade.. this is imperative). You must use the stone in the same direction on each sharpening stroke. Then finish it off with the other side by dragging the ceramic over the top of the blade in the same direction.

Sharper than a two edged sword. Very good product, definitely does what is advertised. You just have to be careful you don't run it too many times or your blades will be too sharp. I experimented with my kids skates, I ran it once pressing lightly on my 10 year olds skates and he loved it. I pressed a little harder and ran it twice on my 8 year olds skates and he fell over when he tried to stop. I then had to try to dull his blades. This thing really works, you just have to experiment to get your blades the way you want them. I recommend on pass pressing lightly the first time and then go from there.

So I has hesitant on this product as I have seen many products try to do similar things back in the late 80s/early 90s which would ruin steel. But I needed a honing stone for my new pair of Pro Stock APX 2s and since I am currently in a area without a skate sharpener that I trust I have to make my sharpening last as long as they can.The sharping on my LS3 steel needed to have a stone go over it a few times to remove the burrs so I did that initially. After a few swipes on each side of each blade it was smooth as silk. I took the skates out for a dry run for about 2 hours and after I got home tried the reedging tool. I was quite impressed with the results as it brought back the same sharpness the blades had before I took them out earlier in the day. I am aware that it in no way can replace a good sharpening but as someone who prefers to have very sharp edges at all times (it helps with being a tall guy on skates) this will allow me to get the most out of my sharpenings.

Just a beginner at skating but our family of four is taking hockey lessons so I figured this was a good investment to save some money on professional sharpenings. I'm not sure of the science behind this, but it works exactly as advertised. Haven't got back on the ice yet, but with just one or two passes (depending on how dull your blades are) there is a noticeable difference in sharpness. A great tool to have and easy to use!UPDATE: Got on the ice yesterday after swiping this across my blades and definitely noticed a difference. My wife even made mention that her skates felt sharper upon first stepping on the ice. Took a minute to get used to but I found that I feel more comfortable with the sharper blade that this item left me with. Going to continue to use this until it wears out or falls to pieces. Very satisfied!

I have no doubt that I've already made my money back simply by using this on a game to game basis. Its so stupid that regular skate sharpening is now $6. By using this you no longer have to worry about hoping the pro shop will be open when you get to the rink. Very easy and simple to apply. Gives my skates a nice dig. I made the mistake of gliding this on my blade about six times on each side my first game. It felt like I was stuck in the ice. I reward that to this product working so well. All you need are two glides on each side of the blade, done
