Here comes a long one….So I bought this bull bar mainly cuz of the price. It was cheaper than any bull bar I could get from my own truck accessory store at my cost. Since it’s stainless steel I figured it would be fine but may just have some minor fitment issues or wouldn’t be perfectly straight something like that. I got it really quick which was great. About a week sooner than I was estimated. Install was good (except how incredibly stupid the placement of the tow hook bolts were. GMs fault not the bull bar) after I installed I decided to move my off road lights from behind my grill to the bar itself which also went good. Good placement for the mount holes and nice and even. But it’s been on my truck now for about 12 days and when I was looking at how to add my license plate to the bar (stupid illinois license plate laws require front plates on all vehicles) I noticed some rust already forming on all of the welds and a little on the inside of the skid plate. Like I mentioned I’m a manager of a truck accessories store and deal in aftermarket parts and accessories all day everyday so I understand u get what u pay for. I fully expected this bar to only last a short time based on price alone. But already starting to rust after just 12 days!? It’s October so it hasn’t snowed there’s no salt on the roads. Nothing but a little rain since I installed. I’m aware there are different grades of stainless steel and the cheaper stuff has the ability to start rusting. But again…12 days?? I’m sure I’m being a little picky or petty whatever u want to call it but I have a very nice looking truck and I want the things I put on to look nice also. I’m currently in the process of contacting the seller about warranty info (no info in the part description) so once I get some answers I could possibly change my mind on the rating. For now it’s a 3 ⭐️ cuz other than the rusting it’s actually a really nice bar. If I get nowhere with them I’m sure I can just scrub the rust down as much as I can and coat it with a clear coat or silver paint to prevent it from spreading (kinda ridiculous for a new part). If that works out then i would be willing to upgrade this to a 4 ⭐️. So anyone looking to buy this bar I would say go ahead but make sure u add some clear or paint to the welds before u install. Especially if u live in an area of the country that gets snow. Also make sure u have a saw jaw or a air grinder of some kind. Cuz unless u want to take the entire front bumper off u will need to cut the tow hook bolts off the get them out. If u don’t have tow hooks this will be a breeze to install

It fit perfectly as a replacement for the one that I had on my 2014 GMC Sierra.

this was not an easy install , had to remove the bumper and the pull hooks had to come out so that bull bar could be mounted
