These taste great, follow the directions, but like all freeze dried meals you might b want to add at least 5 more minutes to the cook time.

This is one of the decent foods for hiking, camping, bag packing and travel. Super easy to make and can be made IN the packet, which is amazing. Contains 39G protein which is great. The only thing I did not like is it is 2 serving, and I can't separate it if I am making the meal in the packet. I wish it was 2 different packet, also price if on the very expensive side.

We are going to Burning Man on the playa in Reno. You must be self sufficient including food and water. We tried this at home prior to the burn. It was excellent. We added 1.5 cups of water and 5 extra minutes to cook. It was perfect!!! Not too salty and enough for two light eaters. If you eat allot then you could finish the whole meal. We are buying again to take to the burn!!! Enjoy!

Taste was descent but I was expecting to be wowed based on the price point.I was hoping for an experience closer to a home cooked or restaurant style meal, but it seemed typical of freeze dried meals.As with any FD rice or pasta meals, it reconstituted well with a nice creamy sauce.

There are some preservatives in here that are known to be not so great for you, and that is putting it mildly. BHT and other harmful ingredients are in the pouch. I found this out at home and no refunds are allowed on this product. save your money for pouches of food that wont harm you.

I took a flyer on this meal and was happy to find that it comes out as actual food - like carbonara I would make at home (if I knew how to make carbonara at home). Authentic smell and taste, creamy texture - needs no apology for being something easy to transport and prepare on the trail. Very glad I tried it - it's going to be a staple in the rotation.
