The difference being, that, peanut balls only move back and forth in one direction, versus the stability ball that is multidirectional. This provides more stability and control, and makes it ideal for therapy and rehabilitation use with children or seniors. The unique shape is also favored by midwives, and doulas, for use as a birthing ball.

I had sun someone else using this for their dogs to play with so I thought I would try it out. I have a Neapolitan Mastiff and English Bulldogs. They all seemed to like chasing it and the mastiff rolls around on it. I’ve had it for a little over a week and so far it has not been punctured. The material it is made of is thick and seems durable. It came with a hand/foot pump. And do read the directions as far as airing up the peanut.

Exactly as described. I ordered the 40cm peanut to use for my Australian Cattle dog. She sprained her iliopsoas muscle and has been put on limited activity with home physical therapy exercises. Some of the exercises require a peanut so I took to Amazon to find one for her. The hand pump that came with the peanut is okay. It's not superb but it does the job well enough. It is a little slow to air up but since you're only airing it up once it's not a huge deal. Seems to be a good thick material.

I used this ball maybe a few times, its a good thing for help with labor if you need it. I used a ball like this in the hospital to widen the pelvis to help the baby descend. If you are having a baby this is a good ball to have and will probably be recommended in a birthing class! The thing that people need to watch out for is that it has a film or coating on it, what I did to get rid of this was to put warm water and soap on it and use a rag to get it off. The other thing is DO NOT LEAVE this near anything that is painted. The plasticizers in them will eat the paint off. This was in a crib and was up against it and it took the paint right off the crib. I recommend this product just wanted to let everyone know about the things I had issues with.
