In 1994, Crimson Trace developed and sold its first laser sight - an internal system for GLOCK pistols, known as the GLS. Two years later, the newly patented, user-installed Lasergrips product line was unveiled at the 1996 SHOT Show. Over the years, the engineers at CTC have been dedicated to constant improvement and the evolution of products. As we approach our 25th year, Crimson Trace is pleased to add electronic sights, precision riflescopes and sporting riflescopes to our collection.

I have always liked CT products. The only problem I had with this one is when firing a +P+ ammo (which you probably shouldn't do anyway, it knocks out the beam light. It eventually came back after time and using lighter loads. I'm guessing the problem was with the strain on the grip contacts

I bought the SIG model first, but sent it back and bought the Crimson Trace, which I kept. Here's why.The SIG button is small, feels hard and is difficult to depress without changing my grip to an unnatural position. My hand does not make solid contact with the button without thinking about pressing the button and changing my grip slightly. It's also easy to lose the light by relaxing or changing my grip even slightly. I need to keep a death-grip on the gun to keep the laser on. This could be because my hand is smaller than normal. I can depress the button, but not unless I think about it and hold on tighter than is comfortable. It does not come on with my normal grip. Bought the Crimson Trace and it works perfectly. The CT button is larger and softer than the SIG and comes on with my normal grip. No thinking required. The CT is $100 more than the SIG for the green, but the red is about the same price for both. The CT has an on off switch and the SIG does not, which will be handy if I shoot with my iron sites to save the battery. The CT has free batteries for life (one per year), which will help pay for part of the extra purchase cost. The CT has a battery door to change the battery, but the SIG must be disassembled (not a big deal unless you change batteries often). The SIG sits flush to the sides but the CT protrudes just slightly (not a big deal and will not interfere with concealed carry). Both fit the gun well. The SIG also covers the whole rail while the CT covers about half of the rail (not a big deal and both look clean). Both fit flush with the front of the barrel and were easy to install (15 minutes including reading the instructions). Both lights were bright (bought the green) and seemed equal in intensity. If you have a larger hand, the SIG should work fine. The button problem was the only reason I sent it back. Everything else about the SIG was fine.

I've tried a few different lasers/lights on various handguns. This is by far the best laser I've ever used. It was easy to install on my P365, the directions were clear and had pictures. I especially love the position of the activation switch where my middle finger rests underneath the trigger well. It feels very natural to operate and doest require any real thinking or effort. And the laser itself is very bright and easily visible at 30+ yards, much more clearly than any red laser. It is also easily adjustable to be zero'd in at whatever range you want. Comes with small tools to adjust windage and elevation. I have mine sighted in at 10 yards and after a short while making small adjustments, it's dead accurate. Just point and shoot. Drastically improves accuracy and response time. Overall, fantastic product, highly recommended. I will absolutely shop with Crimson Trace again.

Tried on a 365 XL, fired 213 rounds. 12 Hornady American gunner, 1 Speer Gold Dot, 100 fiochi 115g fmj, 100 magtech 115g fmj.Functioned without issue. No comfort issues. Did not get any finger pinch others have talked about. Button was a little easier than other CT I have used, but worked without issue. Very comfortable, very easy. Technically there is a small change in the grip because you're adding a little bit of thickness in the finger groove for that middle finger on the grip. This may actually be more comfortable for some people. If your hands barely fit around the grip before though, this may be an issue. It does have a master switch to turn power fully off, no laser at all. It's a little bit easier to use that than on some other models. It does not stick out so far that I'd be worried about it flipping unintentionally.Held point of aim consistent throughout firing, loading, being set on table. Before test firing I was able to carry it in a Remora 'artemis cut' for several days. Held zero despite the tension from my belt and fat gut on the soft holster.Took it back off, including removing the battery, to find the serial number. Reinstalled, inserted battery. Zero was maybe 1 inch to left of where I had it before removing at about 20 feet. Kind of expect it to be a little off since you'd have to put it back on and tighten the screws to exactly the same places and tensions for it to be 100% Not reasonable to expect 100% otherwise.Cosmetically, it's not perfect. There is a TINY gap between the piece that holds the activation button and the frame grip. It's small, and did not effect operation. So if you're buying it for that unintended purpose of it's existence, it may not be right for you.2 hours stated run time on the green version. Seems like it isn't much, but considering how short of a time it's going to be on, this will last awhile. Figure what, maybe 5 seconds at most per draw for training? That's a lot of draws.Uses a 1/3 N battery. It's not the most common, but many sporting goods, gun, battery stores will have them. Some drug, camera, electronics stores may as well.I went with this type because I'm not looking for some tactic00l advantage. I like that it comes on as I grip the gun. If I ever had to draw, it would be because I believed my life was in danger. I wouldn't want to have to worry about activation. With this type, it just comes on. I looked at other brands, but along with the cheaper price, they also felt cheaper made. The manual with it does say it has a 3 year warranty and falls under the 'batteries for life' deal that lets you get a free battery every year from CT.

I installed this on a P365XL. Fits great. Had to do very light sanding on the seam, just to make if feel smoother.I love my Sig guns, but this laser is better in my opinion than the Lima365. The fit is excellent. Battery replacement is much easier than the Lima. This is priced about $40 more too.The price on this is a little high, but its a great product. Not at all sorry I spent the extra $.Laser sighted in easily. Instructions were good. Finger button is very sensitive which is good. Overall I am very happy with this. The only very minor complaint is the on/off switch. Its a little tough to get to with my chubby fingers, but this is not a big deal really.
