It really is a lot quieter and still with no reduction in performance.They reduce the noise by enclosing the motor in foam rubber and the outlet has foam baffles

This is exactly what I needed. I have large pieces of chewed cardboard and bird food to clean up that clogs my vacuum so bad. This shop vac has a wide hose and it is pretty powerful, it’ll lift up rugs. It sucks all the debris up with ease. It comes with attachments so I can use it like a vacuum which makes sweeping easy and oh my gosh, it is so quiet. I swear it’s quieter than my vacuum. My only complaint is the length of the cord. I was surprised to see how short it was.

This thing is amazing. It's lightweight, it's compact, and it's powerful. It is literally everything you will ever need and it does everything in a quiet manner.The only thing I would have wished for is the out-port that most of these vacuums have to blow air. This machine only has a port for intake and the out take has been integrated to the top in a muffle manner. So it is just good for vacuuming.I have had some in the past that you could hook up the hose to the out-take/outport and it would blow air.Still a great product, very happy with the size.

The moter is significantly quieter than all other shop vacs. No onboard storage or holders for the attachments. Stiil, a good buy.

Much more quiet than any I've had previously. Odd, mid sized hose that comes with an adapter, but that didn't fit any of my larger or smaller shop vac stuff. It was, however, easily adaptable to a smaller hose I had by wrapping it with duct tape to build up size to vac side of smaller hose. So now I have enough hose of a size that will fit my ceiling fan attachment and not have to hold a vacuum up off the floor or wear hearing protection to vacuum my ceiling fan blades.
