I had a bunch of 1/4” steel rivets to pop. This Gear Rench worked great. The picture is the feet of my gazebo at my campground riveted to a steel plate anchored to a 24” auger. I had tried and returned a cheaper version found here on Amazon and it kept getting a clogged and difficult to pop the rivets. So, if you need to pop 1/4” steel rivets, get the Gear Rench.

I needed a heavier rivet gun to use 3/16 stainless rivets. My old gun did not give the user enough leverage to shear the pin off after expanding the rivet into place. This gun does the job nicely. The broken off pin then ejects nicely into the plastic cup. Tool seems to be made of quality materials.

Great way to keep a lot of pressure on when putting in a new rivet, if you have the space.

I had to return a new Arrow riveter at Lowe's. It broke while installing the 2nd rivet. This one is definitely built better and I was able to finish the job.

Every tool I have os gearwrench because they are great tools. I bought this rivet gun to put some aluminum panels on car trailer and like all my gearwrench stuff it was amazing quality probably the best rivet gun I ever used and it came quick at good price thanks amazon and gearwrench you did it again.

I needed a larger riveter than the small pistol grip one I have had for years. This one is much heavier and can handle the largest rivets. The catch bottle keeps the mess contained. The only problem is that it's size and shape can make it hard to access some tight spaces.

I have both a pneumatic and a hand rivet gun. The pneumatic is great as long as you’re using a whole lot of large rivets. It doesn’t do the smaller ones and there’s a bit of setup time involved. The hand gun is also great as long as you only need to place a few of the smaller rivets. This rivet gun is the best of both worlds. You don’t need a power source or air compressor but it puts in the larger size and tougher material pop rivets with ease. You won’t have any muscle fatigue in your hands once you’re done. The gun comes with 5 different tips to use. It goes from the larger pop rivets that a standard rivet gun won’t accept to the smallest 2 sizes that a pneumatic gun won’t grab ahold of. Everything on this gun is well machined for this price point. There are no sloppy threads, the jaws fit together almost perfectly and it operates smoothly. There really is very little difference in the amount of effort it takes to pop the smallest river or the largest one with this tool. The pin collection bottle works much better than I expected. The only issue with this tool is that you need room to use it. The better quality single handed rivet guns usually have a rotating head that lets you get into some really tight spots. This gun will do 99 percent of your pop rivets. However because of the design used to make fastening rivets easy with little effort needed it cannot get into this really tight odd ball places that you occasionally run into. All things considered if I owned one rivet gun I would pick this one. It’s able to fasten the sizes and type of rivets a hand gun or pneumatic gun won’t. Each yip size and the wre has its own place on the gun itself. taking into account that the average person is using this tool only occasionally it should last a very long time.

Needed to use 1/4” rivets on a project but didn’t have a hand riveter large enough. This one was perfect and was sturdy enough to handle easily

It seems to be pretty heavy duty but they can’t fit in every situation especially tight spaces
