I have a raised garden bed so when i put the spike down in the soil, it goes past the spigot. I compensate by first using a pvc pike and then inserting this product in the pvc pipe. Then it works fine Will work okay in just the right planter but you will need to watch the size of the bottle because the soil in your pot may not support a large bottle like a 2 liter bottle.

Item has very limited scope of fit and function without trial and error on type of bottle that will seal correctly thus providing the correct operation. I flipped the small thin ring left on the bottle from the bottle cap as it has a beveled edge and it provided a better sealing surface and added thread tape which has been working to correct the issue of sealing and leakage. Is it possible that the company would test the addition of a small rubber seal to correct issue of fit and function?

The blue ones release a steady stream of water from the bottom of the stake and the bottle is then empty in a short time. Not sure of the purpose of the control valve on these since you can't control what's running out at the bottom. The green ones are working better, but I still have to keep a watch on them because after setting the control valve to a good drip the next time I check it it has stopped and I have to adjust it. I don't think I would trust these to keep my flowers watered while on vacation.

This product is straight up GARBAGE. The bottle that this would screw onto is almost impossible to find. The picture is very deceiving. Looks to be any basic water bottle. Good luck with that. The instructions looked as if there had been trampled on over a week in some warehouse. Dirty, torn, crumpled up, product was tossed in a sandwich baggie. Very unprofessional outfit. Then we get to all the pieces. You get all these different size valves and pegs. I wanted something to fill up, screw it on, and stab in the dirt. This is not that product. Your getting this BS back. I liked the idea of using these to water plants while away which is why I ordered them. However, they did not work for me. I'd saved up several 16.9 oz water bottles that ended up not fitting on the attachment because the bottle end was too small. In order to use these I would have to go out and purchase bigger bottles that I wouldn't normally use. I did jimmy rig one but that did't work because it wouldn't stand without being propped up on something. Was able to adjust the flow but it even seemed like it wasn't going to be reliable. Therefore these ended up being a waste of money for me because I can't use them.
