The flag and telescoping pole are nice but there is no way if teaching the flag to the pole. There are two attach the flag but only one grommet. No instructions. I believe this flag was not made properly. Not worth the money.

I like that it's small and can be tucked away out of sight. Great quality.

Three stars is for the extension rod, it's made well & sturdy. The orange flag, has a dark orange on one side & the other side where the seams are sown has a very light orange (like the back of something). Usually these flags a solid bright orange both sides. The flag slides in the top of the rod, but nothing to hold it on. They give you 2 ties but it's useless. I had to make due & tied one to the top to hold it in place and the bottom did the same. The bottom is already ripping with a small hole starting. I will use but I know it will not last. I do not recommend this one. Get one with grommets or buy th3 old fashion one on a wood stick, they will hold up better for 10$.

Not great for a kayak that doesn't have a base to stick in. But is long.

I got this to attach to my E-bike. We live in a rural setting and I have to share the narrow roads with cars traveling 40-50mph. The telescoping rod is nice for lowing the flag when I park my bike. Someone can still yank it off and steal it, but it feels a little more secure. The fabric has a nice weight. But the truth is... it may not be the best solution for my needs. I saw another bike that used a tall fiberglass rod with a fluorescent day-glo orange flag. This one is more muted orange. That being said, it's sturdy and visible. The rod is a comfortable weight and the padded handle would be nice if your hands are damp. As a safety flag for water sports I give it 5 stars.

I am happy to have this. One of my kayaks has a fishing pole holder, in which I will place this flag when I am sharing waters with power boats. One of the design flaws is that the flag, which has a pocket that slips over the top of the extended flagpole, is held on only by a small nylon zip tie. (Two zip ties are provided.) When the flag has been secured by the zip tie (at the bottom of the flag, on the smallest diameter segment of the flag pole), the pole is no longer capable of collapsing, and it takes something like a wire cutter to remove the zip tie.I sewed some elastic around the bottom of the flag pocket, and also sewed a line of stitching at the top of the pocket, to snug it beneath the bulbous tip of the pole. Together those modifications have adequately secured the flag to the pole, while allowing the flag to be pulled off the pole for packing and storage. But that wasn't the end of it. While doing those things I realized that the flag itself is bright orange on only one side of the fabric, on only one side of the flag, so I found some bright orange nylon fabric and made the flag bright orange on both sides. The factory should have done those things itself. I'm sure that my time has far more value than that of a Chinese factory laborer, or of an even more efficient robot.
