This packing tape dispenser works great. It's a heavy-duty unit with some extra features. Compared to my old one, this new one is a lot easier to use. The tape is lightly held in place on a rubber roller, so it's easier to get a good start. Also, this new unit has an improved spool. It's shaped so that it connects to the cardboard roll of tape along 6 little rails, so it holds the roll on better. Also, I really like the screw on the side of the spool to adjust the amount of drag, so the whole roll of tape doesn't get unraveled. Lastly, the grip is ergonomically shaped, including a thumb rest, so the entire unit is easier to hold. (The shape is made for right-handed people, though).

Sturdy and well made.I don't love how the handle feels in my hand, and I wish maybe it were a little longer (the handle), but over all it is a good tape gun.I don't need one that often, but I couldn't resist the deal, and it certainly comes in handy on the occasions I do need it.

I love this tape dispenser. I hate using the small dispensers that come with rolls of tape, and like using the full-sized ones like this. It's easier to hold in your hand and makes dispensing tape a simpler and easier process. The blades cut the tape nicely and the whole thing works great so far. I've had other ones with a padded grip and love the fact that this one is plastic, since that one had to be replaced because the padding got worn and torn over time.

For years I've been using a tape dispenser I bought online. It's been functional, but a pain to use honestly and always wasting tape since the stopper wouldn't engage properly. When I saw this one, I immediately got it. I remembered using the same one at work, and it was perfect. This one works great. The tape stopper actually works, and means I no longer have to use both hands to manipulate the tape. Would definitely recommend.
