When I was a kid we used these for pier fishing, along with two snell hooks. But when I tried to buy them, nobody was carrying them anymore. So I found them on Amazon for the price I paid years ago!

Useless for a surf rig. I bought these because I wanted to attach the hook directly to the line and not use metal hardware. I’ll have to tie my own, that’s what I get for being lazy.

These leaders will work for me, but the line seems very cheap and stiff. When you unwrap one there are all sorts of bends and kinks in it. Still will work for the bottom fish I am planning to use it on.As others have commented, the loops are small, but that was OK for me. I was planning on adding a duo-lock snap to each loop anyway. That way you can connect anything regardless of size.The low price make these worth dealing with their imperfections.

I would give this 5 stars but as others mention the loops are two small for things like shrimp flies rigs with 5.0 hooks and others. There are cheap snaps to add to this that make it very usable so that makes the leader worth it. And very well priced. I will continue to buy these leaders.

Very nicely tied and strong.Before I used these I was skunked every time I left the cardboard box that I call home. My dog ran away and no woman has talked to me since Carter was President. The very first time I took these out and hooked them onto my line I landed 4 tuna, a flounder, 3 sharks and an awesomely hot mermaid. As I was carrying my new mermaid back to my box home under the overpass I found a winning power ball lotto ticket. My cries of joy were answered by the familiar bark of my loving dog returning to me.I feel I owe all this to my choice in terminal tackle.Recommend to anyone.

I bought the 10lb, 20lb, and 30lb versions of these, this review deals only with the 30lb version.The quality of the line, hardware, and knots is better than you would expect for such an inexpensive set of leaders. Unfortunately these leaders have one major flaw; the loops are too small. I use gamakatsu octopus hooks and the largest size that you can hitch onto the loop is around a 3/0 or 4/0, unfortunately when using hooks smaller than a 2/0 you cannot squeeze the lone through the eye of the hook. Therefore you're limited to 2/0-4/0 unless you want to use extra line/extra knots.
