I should know, if it sounds too good to be true...I have a malamute and thought this might be a good idea for him. It does nothing. I put it on my bed and tried it on ME first and it does nothing. I put it down for the dog. He could have cared less and in a day, he chewed an end of this (so couldn't consider returning it). Don't waste your hard-earned cash

I could feel the cool on the mat.But the dogs did not want to lay on it.My puppy started to chew it up like he likes to do with anything with fluff to it.

My older lab sleeps on this every night during the summer. I really can't believe how cool to the touch it is in a warm room.

First let me say that as far as I can tell, this product does what it claims to do. You can easily feel the difference the cool surface and any other surface in hot weather. I got it for my Great Pyrenees dog, who has a lot of hair and is perpetually hot in summer, even in the climate controlled house. She also has some arthritis, so I had the bright idea to put it on top of a cushy bed so she could be both cushioned and cool. But I don't quite understand: the dogs seem to always kick it off of the regular dog bed. The two big dogs don't seem to want to deal with it at all. My little pug mix WILL use it once it's been kicked off the dog bed. I guess my main point here is that the product does what it says, but your mileage may vary.

It’s more of a lightweight cloth and semi cool to the touch on one side but I felt it was a waste of money. I was searching for a gel cooling mat like I bought for a friend’s dog a couple years ago. This is my pup’s first summer and she is well suited to very cold temps.
