Grate tool to use, i use for any maintenance work i do. Like drywall repair and cleaning jobs. Also for wet jobs like garbage disposal repair, dishwasher repair and toilet jobs. All around a grate tool. But a dislike is the shoulder straps could upgrade.

I so wanted to love this vacuum, but . . . sadly, I had to return the vacuum. Had to stop every minute to clear clogs (while cleaning sand, small twigs and leaves in garage. The extension wands have a lip on which items would get stuck. The hose did not fit well into the extension wands (it was odd). A smaller hole part fits into a larger hole creating lips and clogs. Lastly, the instruction manual (which I read) instructs the user to place the floor nozzle "between the flexible hose and the .. extension wand."PS: Before spending a large amount on a Metabo battery, I attempted to use a Dewalt battery with an adapter, but was unsuccessful because the battery space was too small.

Strictly based upon first impressions, and without extensive use, this is a surprisingly solid tool. I own many Metabo HPT tools and rely on them to make a living. This vac is quite lightweight, even with the battery and accessories attached. The switch is nice, the handle is easy to hold onto, the attachments are quality, some even being metal. Another plus is that the accessories and hose attach securely to the unit, meaning everything can easily be transported together. The HEPA filter and dust bag are beneficial, especially if one needs the use the vacuum for fine dust particles such as sheetrock dust or wood dust from a sander. Probably the biggest surprise for me was that the included hose perfectly fits my Festool sander, as well as my Festool HKC track saw. Wow!! Great job, Metabo HPT!The one minus so far is that top of the unit is a little difficult to attach to the dust bucket when the dust bag is installed. It’s not terrible, but it’s a bit tricky.Update: As others have mentioned, the Flex cordless vacuum bags fit this tool, but it can also be used without the bags, just like any other shop vac. I’ve had this vacuum on my job sites for a bit, and I really can’t find much at all to dislike about the tool. I did wrap a small piece of painter’s tape around the metal pipe ends in order to snug the fit up a little, but other than that, it’s been awesome!

Yet,.. there are no dust bags for sale worldwide. No representative from koki, hikoki, or metabo answers any phone call, all automated answering machines are non-functional. No sales distributer has any rp18da dust bags in hikoki or metabo trade names. No ebay seller has managed to smuggle the dust bags into America. Instruction manual code numbers for both replacement filters is false and do not exist in the company catalogues. The bag that comes with the vacuum has no identification of any type.This means that the vacuum is garbage, literally. One bag comes with the vacuum and then you throw the machine away.I noticed the lack of info in the listing but had faith in the brand. I was mistaken to believe it only needed a hepa filter. It needs 2 filters and the dry filter is restricted to Japan. I have not yet tried to find a replacement hepa filter. I am too disgusted to search "metabo" anymore.Update: I started calling maintainance and metabo service shop and in Georgia a mechanic answers the phone. He said the 1st american delivery is scheduled for late february by ship.

This is by far the best quality vacuum I’ve ever owned.I am writing an update to my review. While I appreciate the quality, I can’t say I like the battery life. To give you an idea of how much this vacuum eats up a battery… I got the longest lasting giant battery for my drill. It lasted the entire construction of my porch. One charge is all that was needed to do my porch. That equivalent charge only ran the vacuum for a mere FIVE MINUTES! Yes, you read that correctly. I’m going to look into changing out the motor for something that lasts much longer. This was not the Metabo experience I’m used to.

This vacuum is for light post work clean up, nothing too heavy. It vastly outperforms my Milwaukee m18 and M12 Fuel models. I do not like that it is too heavy and falls over hower. Great hose length and size. Nice to have a shoulder strap for porting around up into attics and around my work truck cleaning up sawdust.

They got tons of power excellent idea but the hose is way too small at the ends so it clogs very very easily and I mean so easily you'll be vacuuming sand and it gets clogged in 5 seconds I understand it's a portable battery powered shop vac but it's annoying and the wands and pieces don't fit well at all almost like it was rushed and not tested in r and d .but with a few tools and you can cut and modify your hose or better yest but a totally different hose and paisinly adapters and make this better that's what I did and now it' works .Although I'm happy with it now I wouldn't do I had to do this I probably would have waited and got something designed better .
