The description of the saw says the blade thickness is .6mm in one spot and .02mm in another. Hoping for .02mm but no luck. Much bigger, probably the .6mm. Sending back.

I'm a soap maker and I actually got this to cut down my loaves of laundry soap. This was perfect, its small enough to keep in the soap supply drawer but tough enough to cut through my solid bricks of soap.

It looked ok, but was not particularly effective.

Even though this is made in China it has all the characteristics of a genuine Japanese saw. It is a pull saw but also cuts (slightly) on the push. It claims a Rockwell scale hardness of 60-63 which is pretty hard. However it has a lot of flex and a thin kerf making it a useful saw for taking down dowels, cutting dovetails, tenons etc. At a scale of 60-63 I don't expect the teeth to become blunt any time soon. It is a really sharp instrument so caution is the order of the day. It is well balanced with the blade being slightly less in length to the handle. In addition, at this price point, should it become blunt with use it wouldn't be a major hardship to replace. Considering all these factors, along with the cost, I don't have any reservations in recommending this saw. 5 stars

This flush cut saw is exactly what I wanted. What I love about it:It is nice and compact which makes it easy to use.The blade that it comes with is nice and flexible allowing you to put some pressure on the bladeThe blade itself is very sharp and easily cuts through the dowels that I've been using. It's cheap - when the teeth start going missing or I have to replace it, I'm not going to think twice about itWhat could be improved:Honestly for the price, I can't think of anything.I personally will be adding a hole to the back of the handle to hang it in my workshop, but it does have a hole in the top of the blade, so I might just use that.Overall, I'm thrilled with this tool and will probably buy another one when this gets dull.
