This is a functional little tribrach for mounting 1/4-20 based items - like mini prisms.Although nearly every photo in the listing shows this with a mini prism mounted, this is only the tribrachEverything is functionalBecause this is so small and so light weight, it has trouble staying where you want it - even adjusting the tilt of a mini prism is tending to slide the whole tribrach on the surface. Outside, a breeze can blow it over.There are three pointed studs to adjust the level but these are in relatively loose tapped holes in the base - they wobble a bit and don't have lock nuts (easily added but its still very light)I think for some applications, this could still be a useful tool - I intend to add magnet feet to the bottom of the studs for on metallic surfaces and will add lock nuts at the same time.I think this has limited applications but can be modified to suit special needs - its not a general purpose tribrach.
