These bulbs are for an outdoor fixture purchased from the electric company years ago for energy efficiency. No local electrical supply company, or box store carried these. Found them online, great price, excellent delivery service, and they fit the fixture. Very happy with purchase.

In the past I have purchased these. and given them a 5 star rating, but I cannot do so this time around since it would appear that there was a manufacturing glitch on this run of bulbs that will not allow them to fit in the socket. As I understand it they will not have corrected stock available until the end of January 2015. I would assume that they will return to being a 5 star product from that point forward. recommend the purchase after January...I am only rating the product not the seller of the product...
