しっかり火花が飛ぶ。エクタックと比べても遜色なく感じる。実際どちらでも着火は可能だった。これと一緒に蝋を染み込ませた麻紐をジッパー袋に入れてポーチに入れている。

I bought this for day hikes rather than bringing my big "survival" ferro rod. It gives good sparks with the included striker (but better sparks with the spine of the saw on a multi-tool). Small enough to fit on a key chain.

Seems well made and even has included replacement parts. The size makes it a little difficult to use but made to go on a keychain. Overall excellent value. I bought 2.

I bought on a limited time deal for less that$4. I have used it a handful of times now. It would be worth twice the price with even just a single rod, but they send 2. We'll probably be buying several more for the people on my annual flat trip .

Came with extra threaded fire rod and two extra rubber o-rings. No the best threads for screwing on, but hey, its cheap and does its job. Great Striker. I put some paracord to make it easier to use. I would buy again.

So, I saw this DOSMAMZ ferro rod fire starter tool and it reminded me of my Nanostriker XL sold by a certain company that I will not name, but that costs 4-5 times more than this product. Yes, this tool is made in China, but the ferro rods used by the company I will not name in their Nanostriker XL are also sourced from overseas. They just choose not to be transparent about it because technically they do not have to per FTC rules and regulations.I reached out to this certain unnamed company to ask about their ferro rod sourcing and they were completely non-transparent and evasive to my questions. So, I continued to dig and I found out through another reputable source that has dealt extensively with the unnamed company that although they may legally claim “Made in America” on their items, the ferrocerium is indeed sourced foreign from overseas. In addition, there are no ferrocerium manufacturers within the United States. ALL ferrocerium is sourced from overseas, and the lion’s share from Jiangxi Metals Co. in Shanghai, China.I have nothing against the unnamed company and their products, it’s just a shame that they choose not to be forthright and transparent. The Nanostriker XL is a great tool, but this less expensive DOSMAMZ option performs every bit as good and right on par with the Nanostriker. Not to mention, you also get another threaded replacement rod included with this DOSMAMZ striker for when the other is expended, which will take some time to wear it out anyway. This off-brand DOSMAMZ Nanostriker works every bit as good as the more expensive option. The entire tool itself with an additional replacement rod costs less than even the price of Nanostriker replacement rod itself! So, why purchase an overpriced replacement rod for an overpriced Nanostriker when you can get a whole new tool and replacement rod for much less? And if you just want replacement rods, you can pick up a three pack of DOSMAMZ threaded replacement rods for under ten dollars. Another huge win! This DOSMAMZ ferro rod tool is exceptional! Not only is it much more affordable than the Nanostriker, but works flawlessly! I highly recommend it.

Works fine, but the ferro rod threads into the holder at an angle. It is solid and works, though. I’ve used it a couple of times to test it, and it’s a decent little backup fire starter that is easy to carry anywhere. I might buy more to throw in some kits, but I don’t know if I have much need for more small ferro rods in place of larger [easier to hold, throws bigger sparks, lasts longer] options.

It’s a knock off of a similar product. The Ferro Rod isn’t as reactive as the original product but it still works fine and it comes with an extra screw in Ferro Rod. Definitely worth buying if you feel the original is over priced. It’s not as good as the original product but it still works good and it’s half the price if I remember. You will go through both of the ferro rods included in this pack compared to using up just 1 of the original product (it takes two to three more strikes than the original on average in my experience). But it is like half the price if I remember correctly and if the prices didn’t change. So either way you get your money’s worth. It really just depends on if you want to only carry the item itself, in that case, go with the original over this one. But if you are ok with carrying the extra Ferro Rod included in this product and changing it out eventually or if you don’t plan on using this product a lot, then I would say that this “knock off” (but a decent “knock off”) would be the better option
