I’ve been using the WiZ HDMI Sync Box with TV Backlight for a few weeks now, and I have to say, it’s one of the best upgrades I’ve made to my home entertainment setup. The experience it creates is incredibly immersive—the way the lights react in real-time to the content on screen adds a whole new level of depth, whether I’m watching an action movie, playing a game, or just relaxing with some music videos. The ambient lighting shifts fluidly with colors and motion, and it really makes the visuals pop, especially in a dark room. Setup was surprisingly smooth. I connected my streaming devices through the HDMI ports on the sync box, and the WiZ app walked me through the configuration. The app itself is intuitive, giving me full control over brightness, color modes, and sync settings. I also appreciate that it supports multiple input sources, so I don’t have to keep switching cables. Even when I’m not watching anything, I can use the backlights to create ambient mood lighting in the room—perfect for evenings or gatherings. I always wanted tv backlighting for my TV that connects directly to the TV to display colors without needing a camera like some other companies backlights do without also breaking the bank. This immersive backlight from Wiz was exactly what I was looking for and it comes at a reasonable price albeit with some quirks. Unboxing and setting up the backlight system wasn't too difficult since the only time consuming part was sticking it to the back of the TV and then just plugging in the source box to my PC thru HDMI. Once everything was connected then all that was required was to download the Wiz app on my phone to connect and control the lighting. Initially when I went into the app to control the scenes of the lighting it worked great and started matching the colors on the screen flawlessly and looked amazing but I made the mistake of changing the scenes to see what others there were because then it would not change to matching the what was playing on the TV which became frustrating. I know I have to tinker around with it more to get it back to the way I wanted but once it does then this backlight system will be great. Another small issue with it which applies to my situation is that lights themselves are really long and dont exactly fit on my 55'' TV which is a bit of a bummer but means I just have to get a bigger TV.

The WiZ tv sync box with light strips are pretty good at their price range. Compared to other brands they have less lights per inch which is slightly disappointing but they still do a great job of syncing with the TV. The biggest issue I found is that the sync with the TV really only syncs to the outside 3-6 inches of the screen. I get it that these are supposed to display on the wall and widen out the screen but it felt off to me. I've used other brands that I think do a slightly better job of syncing with the screen. The other thing I did not like about these is that they did not have a light strip at the bottom of the screen. Other brands have that additional strip at the bottom of the screen. So if you wall mount your TV there will be no light at the bottom which is disappointing and would look terrible. I have them mounted on a 55 inch tv and they are slightly too big for the TV. The wires hang over the edge a bit and there is no way to shorten them with how they are made. Overall for the price of these lights they are very well made. The sync works great and is very accurate with the overall display. The price for these is amazing. For everything they can do and the price you pay they are well worth it. Due to some of the things I talked about I am deducting 1 star.

Received this the next day that i ordered it on. Installed and tested it on the same day and here are my findings:Pros-1) Once physically installed, it was extremely easy to setup via the app2) The background lighting really matches up with the picture on the screen without any issues3) The ambiance really does get a pop of color with this backlighting solution (my last 2 photos shows a sample with my TV on)4) The app is very intuitive and you can easily change between the various options from Cinematic, Gaming, Music, etc. There are also a lot of prebuilt mood setups if you are looking for templates.Cons-1) Installing it is a little tricky and i would recommend doing this with a friend to ensure that you have planned the position you want the LED strips to be in before you begin sticking it to your TV2) Will be very difficult to mount on TVs that are wall mounted. If you do not have enough clearance, this might not be for youNote to people with multiple HDMI inputs to your TV - The sync box only has one input position so if you have multiple devices connected to your TV, you will need a separate HDMI switcher to select the HDMI input you want synced with the backlighting.Overall, i would definitely recommend this sync box and in the future, i will consider the additional lights to give it some more effect. It is a much simpler and economical alternative to the Philips Hue lighting system.
