I am a little torn about how to rate this set. When I saw it called embroidery, I thought it was a traditional embroidery set. I did not even know there was such a thing as punch needle. Even though it was not what I was expecting, I decided to give it a try. They provide very helpful instructions with pictures on how to thread the needle. I appreciate that the fabric was pre-stretched and attached to the square frames when I received it. It did not take me too long to get the hang of how to do it. I did have a couple of problems -- the instructions say to trim the yarn close to the back. It doesn't mention knotting it for either the start or the finish of a color. This seemed strange to me, and as expected, the yarn kept coming out. So - I knotted the ends. Maybe that's wrong, but that's what worked for me. The other problem I had was that sometimes, the yarn came out of the hole I put it in. That might be something that you get better with as you practice. Honestly, I found the whole thing very frustrating and did not even try to finish it. Next time, I will pay closer attention to what type of embroidery I'm ordering.
