I've been a remodeling contractor for over 30 years, and wish I knew this tool existed long ago. Works perfect. Makes clean perfect cuts everytime!

Been using this to cut abs and pvc for 30 years! Just replaced my old one with this newer model and it works great. Cuts the pipe square in about 3 Revolutions.

blade is not sharp enough for thin-walled PVC pipe. blade was either poor quality or previously used on wrong material

They go to a place called "Test Equipment Depot." Apparently it charges a restocking fee that can be up to a QUARTER of the purchase price. Would not have bought the item had I known that. They shipped me the cutter with what appears to be a used cutting wheel. This is a good tool, but at this price, they shouldn't be shipping out tools with secondhand parts. Disappointed. A great pipe cutter, but I wouldn't buy it from this company again.

I’ll start off by saying I’m a plumber and I use this tool daily. At first it took several rotations to get through a piece of schedule 40 (solid core) but now that I’ve gotten used to the tool it can plow through PVC faster than any tool I have. I love the fact that it makes straight smooth cuts. The tool is extremely robust and has taken a beating being thrown around during my hectic workday. I mostly use it on 1”1/2 and 2 & 3 inch PVC, I’ve haven’t tried it on 4 inch yet but it looks like it could handle it. Anyone even thinking about taking the plumbing exam needs to own this tool.

Great PVC pipe cutter. Nice square cut.Much faster and safer than a saw, and the resulting cut is a thousand times better. We cut both 1-1/2 inch and 4 inch PVC with it and are very pleased with the results.

Maybe it's just the blade, but 4 inch ABS and system 15 are a real pain to cut with this, everything else cuts quite nice. For 4 inch, I have to kneel on it with one end on the toe of my boot to stop it from spinning. For time and effort with 4" I'm better off marking along the whole pipe, sawzalling it, and reaming the edges than use this. Despite that, still a decent tool, doesn't jump around a whole lot and the quick close feature is nice to have.

When I received this I didn't realize how big it was going to be. I thought it was going to be overkill for my 1 1/2 inch and 2 inch pipes that I'm doing on a plumbing project. I purchased it because I knew I would need it for 4 inch and 3 inch pipes and I didn't want to have two different sized cutters. Little did I know this thing is amazing for 1 and 1/2 inch and 2 inch pipes. It lines up perfectly and cuts perfectly clean without any birds. You won't need a diverter to it all. This thing is awesome. I'll never use a sawzall or hexagon. this cuts perfectly straight perfectly clean and it's extremely accurate every single time.

Works great for ABS pipe. The pictures a bit misleading since this 154 only came with two rollers. Still have to debur a bit, but a Reed DEB4 makes quick work of that and goes well with this tool.

I have smaller cutters of this type that I've used to cut chrome or copper pipe. They work very well.I bought this one to cut large, 4-inch diameter acrylic pipe. I was surprised that it did not work. Maybe the plastic cutter blade that's supplied works on PVC pipe. I don't know. But it just couldn't penetrate the acrylic. I wound up cracking a tube from tightening it too much. I sent the tool back.
