Just right; well made.I see some trouble in the reviews. 1. Needle nose pliers or even a pair of scissors work to widen the ring. 2. A pair of pliers to squeeze it back tight enough to hold the ball in place. Pretty standard practice. No one expects you to be able to do it by hand alone. 👍🏻

As some reviewers have already said, you can't get the captive bead out. I imagine one can use pliers but i already have such earrings and you should be able to pull out and place back in the bead with your fingers without much effort. Also, these are thicker than 12G (2mm). They look nice but they're useless

As stated, the floating beads can be a chore trying to reseat properly in the loop gap, especially by yourself. If you're going to put these in, do so with the intention of keeping them in forever unless you have help to put them back in, or are extremely patient.A better design would have had the floating bead attached on one side, with a deeper post-hole on the other side for the free opening side to clamp into. That's a much more manageable design.I lost TWO beads in this set to I don't even know where while attempting to put bead back into place once ring was in on my own.Otherwise, once these are in, they're great.

I've started using only one pair, to check for itching etc, but no worries. Note that at this gauge you need pliers to open the three smallest diameters.Good buy!!

Hard to remove/install the ball, but that’s surely a good thing; they won’t be falling out and getting lost.Definitely worth it and I would buy again, but I have so many with this one buy I won’t need more. 😃

the small hoops are darn near impossible to set the bead into, you must have hands of steel and unfortunately I was not born on Krypton. So alas, large hoops it was.
